  • THE OCCASION OF THE VISIT OF POPE BEEDICT XVI TO JORDAN

  •   Utterance Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Poland in Amman, Mr. Krzysztof Bojko for Radio Vatican on 8 May 2009  for the occasion of the visit of Pope Benedict XVI to Jordan .

"According to the felt Mr. Krzysztof Bojko Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Poland in Amman, the visit of His Holiness the Pope at this time can bring a lot to the Middle East. „Given the tensions that exist in the region since 2000, since the outbreak of the second intifada,we all hope, including the Jordanian authorities , that this visit will  lead to a reassuring situation. I was witness to the events of March 2000, when Pope John Paul II visited Israel and the Palestinian Authority areas. From this visit until the outbreak of intifada situation really had improved. So we expect that now, after the arrival of Benedict XVI to the Middle East, the situation will be to reassuring. Certainly it comes to improving the situation between Christians and Muslims "- Krzysztof  Bojko added."
