    On February 24th Polish Ambassador to Jordan – H.E. Mr. Andrzej Świeżaczyński met with Dr. Mary Kawar, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation.

    The meeting was concentrated on the Polish contribution to Jordan in the sphere of development policy and economic cooperation. During the meeting, Minister Kawar became acquainted with the activities undertaken by the Polish Aid for humanitarian and development assistance to Jordan, provided not only for the needs of Syrian refugees, but also for local communities. The Ambassador of the Republic of Poland also presented the priorities of Polish development assistance for Jordan in the upcoming 2019-2020 perspective as part of bilateral cooperation and emphasized the Polish participation in multilateral tools of the United Nations and the European Union (including the Economic Resilience Initiative and the MADAD fund). Minister Kawar, for her part, presented the Jordanian financial needs related to the high cost of maintenance of Syrian refugees in Jordan and the possibility of further cooperation between the Polish Embassy in Amman and the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.
